Garlic patch before lol:

Garlic patch after:

Our soil is... difficult. That's why this land had a house on it, not a farm lol. Still, plenty of life in the soil, we would just like to make it a bit fluffier. Until then I will free all the worms from the garlic tendrils.

The spoils:

These are all from garlic harvested last year, which was a bad year due to leek moths. We have since rotated location and have no evidence of the pest in this crop. Yay!

Hopefully that means we can build our numbers up again.

I brought them inside to dry a bit, then I will brush off the dirt and hang them to cure. The largest bulbs will be put aside to plant in October and the rest will be enjoyed.

I was not expecting that image. I only know the scene because of Loading Ready Run having Watch + Play which is also called Garbage Day and I'm rambling.

I love garlic though! So much!

I've got terminal brain rot from growing up on the internet so it was playing over and over in my head as I sat on my little foldable garden stool lovingly brushing away the worms from the heads 😅

I saw one worm there! I'm sure he will remember his time being held by an eldritch monstrosity and being told Garbaage Day!

When I'm in the garden my thoughts are about taboos and 'bopping them on the head'

    No rabbits are harmed.
