Former military lawyer David McBride has been released from jail after the attorney-general granted him parole today.
The whistleblower served more than two years behind bars after he was convicted of stealing classified defence material and sharing it with journalists.
What's next?
He will serve a further three years of his sentence in the community under supervision and conditions.
