Usually I am sympathetic towards people losing their jobs. However, that goes out the window when their government is hostile and I am watching family struggle due to the trade war.

One of Canada's first policies was to put a 30% tariff on the US. It worked well, US capitalists had to open factories in Canada and imports of farm and lumber harvesting equipment from the US shrunk massively.

I would say the US administration is less hostile than previous, at least they have given us an out from their trade agreements.

    I believe chapter 26 of "Colonialism and Capitalism Vol I" talks about this. To get the numbers. However you're right I got the date wrong. It was his 2nd term.

    As for the other part you don't think Trump can get us out of CUSMA like he did NAFTA? He seems to have gotten us out of Biden's plan of us making cheap cars for them. Biden also made a world cup bid that would see Canada and Mexico host the unprofitable games acting as though we are just states of his.
