This clown even claimed that China has no windmills. China has more wind and solar capacity than any other country in the world with twice as much capacity under construction than the rest of the world combined.

Wait, do people without dementia call wind turbines wind mills? I'm not a native speaker

I'm a native speaker and quite likely to refer to them as windmills. Real windmills are basically museums now, everyone will know what you mean. Although the slightly coarsely-ground flour from the one near ours does make truly delicious bread.

as with everything, per capita is incredibly important… australia has twice the per capita renewable capacity as china… US is actually only about 100w/capita behind china (about 15%)

china just has a massive population, so you’d expect their government to necessarily build more power - which is to say nothing about their industrial capacity which, again, necessitates a larger total capacity

per capita or renewables mix is far more relevant than total capacity

none of that is a dig at china of course: they’re still doing better than most countries! but let’s not hold them up as a shining beacon when they’re just doing better than average. we can find better examples of success to copy
