I have virtually zero knowledge of The Odyssey as a Greek mythology, save for a few recognisable names like the Helen of Troy, the Trojan War etc. I do want to enjoy the movie to its fullest, and if learning about the plot material is essential to it, then so be it. Is there a good resource giving a summarized version of the plot enough to understand the film? If so, I would really appreciate it if you shared it here.

i don't have any idea what that means. all i know is, the only times i've been to an imax it was cramped, hot, and loud, the stairs were dangerously steep, the theatre seated like 50 people, and you had to constantly look around to follow what was happening because rather than filming in a way that supports a large screen, e.g. a small focus area with immersive backgrounds around it, they film it like normal with closeups, dynamic camera angles swooping around during action, and two-camera conversations.

you just felt like a fly spying on giant people. an ambilight tv and a pair of headphones would have been more immersive.
