Religion was created to control people. We are just seeing it's final form.

    It was created to explain the unexplainable and to give people a common purpose and build community.

    Those that sought power used it as a cloak to give legitimacy to their goals of conquest and oppression, constantly twisting the goals of communities to rally groups against an "other."
