Besides, I think it rather obvious that Patrick is going through some shit. Has been for a while. I'm not saying it excuses anything, but maybe, just maybe, being decent human beings and at least just leaving them the fuck alone instead of fucking with them is the actual right thing to do here, if nobody can be bothered to reach out in kindness.
