no, it's just that you're being ableist and classist about it.

Making up shit about me ultimately won't get you anywhere. Please spare me the bullshit tropes; do your coping in private. I live on less than the worldwide median income (about 13k) in an area of unusually high cost-of-living, and I am disabled. Next you are going to try and erase all the indigenous vegans by telling me I'm being culturally insensitive. But poor and disabled vegans exist in every city of the world.

This is how you cope. You tell yourself lies. Try coping by telling yourself a little truth, and see how that goes.

But okay, lets say you are right. Lets say there are situations where people's disabilities and economic class make it impossible to avoid all animal products.

Veganism demands avoiding the exploitation of animals "as far as is practical and practicable". If you require an animal product for your health and you economize it as much as you can, that's still vegan. If you find yourself starving in a food desert and there is nothing without milk or lard in it, making mindful choices to minimize the harm you are doing is still vegan. Being poor, disabled, or inconveniently located is not a license to just consume mindlessly without concern for the consequences your actions have. It isn't an excuse to not even think about the cruelty and violence you commit.

honestly all this did was just tell me how little agency i have in my current household because i have zero income, don't/can't drive and we're in such financial crisis because of a slipup with the matriarch's retirement that my grocery choices have to be approved.
