Your whine is valid, so many things are never done. Laundry is one of the worst, not the difficulty of the job itself, it's simple, but unless I were to go down to the building's laundry room naked I'm already making more laundry even when I'm doing it.

Good choice moving the cat box early in the process, get the cat used to it while it's still a mess.
