Not long ago there was scandal with Israel buying from Russia stolen Ukrainian grain and even blasted Ukraine for going public with it. People on reddit defending Israel by saying Russia was still in Syria and would strike Israel but let's be real, Israel is protected by US, Russia wouldn't touch Israel as long as that's the setup so Israel simply has some kind of backstage relationship to act the way they do towards each other. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Rat_in_a_hat@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago Russia gave Syria S-300 and S-400 systems which could supposedly knock out some of the most advanced bomber jets, yet not one Israeli fighter was downed over Syria.
