It is hard to detect emotions when texting and this can definitely cause misunderstandings. I am old school so to speak because I was around during the time of pagers before cell phones. Texting through pagers was the old technology and making a voice call through a cell was the new technology. Obviously texting has it uses, but it will always feel a step backwards from voice calls for me. permalink fedilink source parent
