I can understand not wanting kentucky bourbon and whiskey but liberal california , really ?

It's a blanket boycott, that includes bourbon.

Many Canadians are boycotting everything they reasonably can that's American, not just alcohol.

Unfortunately for California, it's an American state. If it wants to be excluded, it can either secede or somehow fix federal level trade problems.
