EDIT: May have just been my browser. After restarting my browser, no issues. Who knew that having over 100 tabs open would slow down my browser? haha! So disregard.

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

For the last couple of weeks, lemmy.wtf has been going offline for me several times a day. It usually only lasts about 5 minutes, but it keeps happening. Yesterday, I noticed it went offline around 12 times.

My internet seems fine because other sites still load normally. It only seems to be lemmy.wtf.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm going to keep ringing this bell as long as you keep up the astroturfing.

You mean like how you will keep following me around and downvoting everything I post regardless of content? Serial downovoting is why I had to ban you in the first place. Your voting history is public: https://lemvotes.org/user/NewPerspective@lemmy.world

Seems kinda like you’re targeting people who you disagree with, regardless of the content they post.

Let's let everyone see that you've admitted your serial downvoting campaign against me today:

Seems like it but no. Try again.

You really think you got me but I couldn't care less.

If you don’t care, then why make such a fuss, and why keep following me around? Your voting history is public: https://lemvotes.org/user/NewPerspective@lemmy.world

I’m genuinely curious. When you get this focused on someone, do you recognize that it’s unhealthy, or do you convince yourself it’s normal? It’s weird, but I guess I should be flattered.

How often do you think about me? It must be a lot, since you keep showing up and accusing random people of being my “alts.” Every time someone posts something you don’t like, do you wonder if it’s secretly me?

And if I really were all these different accounts like you claim, what exactly do you think you’re stopping? By your own theory, I could just move to another instance and use a new name whenever I wanted. I'm wondering, how many people do you think I am? Don't be coy, go ahead and give a number. I wanna know! This is fascinating to me!

So even inside your own bizarre theory, you’re fighting a losing battle. Does that ever occur to you while you’re following me around?

Ok, you can ring that bell as long as you want. I realize you're obsessed with me, but you're not making sense.

You’re accusing me of being several different people who argue with each other, hold different views, and even downvote each other. The link you gave me says someone was downvoting the same accounts you claim are my alts.

So what exactly is the theory here?

Astroturfing means fake accounts working together to push the same message. But the accounts you listed oppose each other many times. Why would one person create multiple accounts just to argue with themselves and downvote themselves?

That would be the opposite of astroturfing.

Lies. These accounts agree and support each other at nearly every turn constantly posting in each other's comms (and nearly ONLY each other's comms). You can't control the narrative. You suck at astroturfing which is why I'm calling you out. Anybody checking out c/generalnews can see the pattern is not as you described. Somebody downvotes a PapaSkwat comment and Quantumtickler bans them, vice versa too.

@Meldrik@lemmy.wtf, can something be done about this?

The link you posted was about someone you think is me, allegedly creating a bot army to downvote someone else you also think is my alt. Did you even read your own link?

You keep saying I’m trying to “control a narrative,” but what narrative? Posting random news articles in a general news community is not astroturfing.

You also said I “suck at astroturfing.” If that’s true, then what exactly is the problem? If my supposed alts are terrible at it and even downvote each other, what would be the point?

I checked the community I mod, and I don’t see any shared upvotes between the accounts you named as my alts. So again, where is the astroturfing?

At this point, your claim seems to be that I’m using alts to post random news in a general news community. Even if that were true, why would that be such a serious issue?

What narrative do you think is being pushed here? This really sounds like a personal vendetta you have because I banned you for serial downvoting, which by the way, is not allowed in my community. You need to move on. lol
