In what ways are Maga Usonia (USA) better or worse than Nazi Germany? (lemmy.ml)

I'm wondering why this thread is getting negative points by the way.

Do people get upset for comparing Magas to Nazis,
or do I upset people for comparing Nazis to Magas?

Nah, its better to have hindsight in your corner, and realize what you need to do to save your soul, sanity, and be on the right side of history is to either leave, with as many innocents as you can, or start breaking things. Make them kill you if you can't stop them in their tracks.

If you're rational enough to be weighing it out like-so, maintaining objectivity and pragmatism past the point of the absurd, "picking Nazi" is still not an option. Even just holding "you idiots are worse than Nazis" in your repertoire is a waste of words and thought. The only worthwhile conversation left no longer requires words at all.

    I'm gonna have to side with Luthis here,
    if someone would point a gun at me and forced me to make a choice between joining the Magas and the Nazis,
    and I'm that told that.. "The good news of these particular fascists is that they have even more guns than the nazis, unnecessarily inefficient and expensive cars, bad music and unhealthy food" as their good qualities, then I wouldn't even want to know what their bad qualities are anymore.

    Yep and just for the record because this is one of those absurd questions, this is the only time I would pick Nazis.

    Now if the choice also included Israelis, that makes it even more difficult

    Funny you had to hypothetically skip to the point where a gun is pointed at you and you are only-then forced to make a choice. Your choice to delay making a clear decision and working to achieve any other goal until that point is itself a moral failure, and the fact you can't concieve even-then of lying and killing them when their back is turned is cowardice.

    The Nazi's also had irrepairable, un-maintainable and inefficient military hardware that couldn't cope with any disruptions to supply-lines, to the point that encountering US inter-changable parts be-wildered them.

    Y'all are literally scraping the bottom of the barrel for excuses to "accept the better choice, fucking NAZIISM" as an excuse to what? Do fuck-all about the reality of the situation.

    Post might as well be about how you all love Nazis. On that note, bye.

    This thread is about how MAGA is worse than Nazis, or at the very least worse Nazis before World War II broke out.
    We're joking that "Even the Nazis were not this far right"
    Maga Usonians and other right-wing Usonians are screaming that Naziism is left-wing in their eyes on top of their lungs.
    That doesn't mean that we're choosing Nazis.
    It means that we or (maybe just me) think that the US currently is heading towards a historical cliff deeper than Nazi Germany.

    I can't choose the Nazis, because of three things:

    • They're anti-socialist in my view
    • They're anti-nationalist in my view, while I prefer sovereignity
    • Their "nationalism" is racism mixed with imperialism and I seriously don't get the former, while I also have issues with the latter

    You may not have noticed, but this place is far-left, Marxism abound.
    I want basic income and the US to be given back to the native Americans.
    I want my country to have approval voting and what I would call a capillary voting system
    (each layer of authority voting up to the next to prevent costly campaigns) at the very least,
    if not socialist civic exams added.

    I also think that the US threatening to take over Greenland is a direct attack against the EU,
    because it is and that all EU leaders should kick the US out of NATO and call for article 5,
    instead of being the wormy cowards that they are.

    And I'm pretty sure Luthis wants something similar.

    And you might think that "Well why go this route?".

    Because I keep encountering people saying
    "the US is slowly into a authoritarian state similar to Putin's Russia"

    To that someone say "Stop using hypotheticals when the US already is an authoritarian state."
    And to that I say "That's not even strong enough. It's not even similar to Nazi Germany. It's worse."

    And I'm so sick and tired of seeing so much trivializing of what the US does,
    pretending that it's the most free country in the world,
    when it is the most incarcerated country on the planet
    and where you can effectively vote for only two parties.
    And then give some extremely arbitrary measuring stick
    I keep seeing current Usonians use for freedom,
    which is term limits.

    Hitler has been the worst dictator so far in history and he only ruled for 12 years,
    of which the last 5 years were during wartime, so one could easily get an extension,
    Roosevelt already proved how easy that was as a Usonian.

    The reasons why the Maga US is far worse than Nazi Germany is that Nazi Germany wanted to conquer Europe, and genocide all Jews, Gypsies, gays and the disabled.
    Maga USA is targeting the entire planet except for the Jews,
    or more accurate ultrawealthy Anglos and ultrawealthy Jews.

    Maga USA is the ultimate death cult.
