This a stupid, self defeating comment by op. Copied from Reddit: "Framework decided to sponsor Hyprland, which is basically a Linux GUI. It has also apparently been promoting Omarchy, which I first heard about yesterday when this came up, so can't say too much about that. Creator of Hyprland is controversial to say the least, and he has been pretty much ousted from the open source community." Saying sponsoring hyprland makes framework nazi is one of the stupidest things I've seen on the internet in a long time permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] bizzle@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago Wow there truly is no ethical consumption under capitalism permalink fedilink source parent [–] jlow@slrpnk.net 4 points 1 month ago The problem isn't Framework sponsoring or featuring nazis (pretty sure they just didn't know). The problem is that when people told them: "Hey, you're promoting people that literally want to kill me, I don't feel save here anymore". They didn't make a clear statement that they're anti fascist but said some corporate marketing bullshit about big tents and inviting everyone (which I personally and many others understood as them being cool with nazis in their mids as well because they didn't want to scare away investors). permalink fedilink source parent
