If you're rich and/or famous, you never know if anyone interested is just looking for fame or money. So the solution they come up with is to only interact with other hoarders...who probably still want to use them for their wealth through business dealings. Maybe the real answer should be don't hoard wealth so then the rest of society is not desperate enough to pretend to be nice to you and have the actual capacity to be genuinely nice. permalink fedilink source parent
