You wouldn't call "city" an Iraqi concept just because the first city was in the same region as modern day Iraq. The two American books on the other hand are not very well know around the world. I'm not even sure if they have ever been released here in Germany for example. Unlike the Dostojewski book, that got international recognition and has been translated at least 12 times into German. That didn't help me to guess it, though.
