Pretty hard to convict one person for something that is widespread in the popular culture. permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] 4grams@awful.systems 14 points 2 months ago (1 child) I have an 86 45 shirt I used to wear during the first term. When the comey bullshit first hit the news, my father called me and told me how I shouldn’t wear violent messages, told me that I’d better watch my back if I wore something like that again. I hung up and ordered an 86 47 shirt. Wearing it today in fact. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 4 points 2 months ago I want one. Even if it was just Comey who did it, this doesn't constitute a direct or actionable threat. 86 is kitchen jargon to get rid of something, and one interpretation of that could be to kill, but another could be to get rid of him using the legal channels already in place (impeachment, invoking 25th amendment, etc.). This indictment has no legs and will get tossed out before any competent judge. permalink fedilink source parent
