Boiling is the worst way to prepare hot dogs. Even a microwave can produce better results. Boiling causes juices to leach out and the texture is no better than when it was taken out of the package.

    In my other comment I said how I love them boiled but this reminds me - when I was around 5 years old I used to sneak to the fridge and eat raw hotdogs. So maybe that's why I love them boiled today?
