Hi Stella! The fediverse is very confusing and not at all user-friendly, so don't worry too much.

I'm a late 20s transfem trucker and I'm between names at the moment. Do you like cats? I have four of them.

Nice! They shouldn't bite unless a particular one is a bastard or you try to grab them when they don't want to be grabbed. Sometimes they are just grumpy and will give a warning nibble.
