They are DAMN good at it to. It picks up on local dialects and cultural euphemism very well and give you very natural output. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] Zwiebel@feddit.org 17 points 4 months ago* (2 children) See deepl.com (pronounced deepulu in Japanse fyi) permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] not_IO@lemmy.blahaj.zone [S] 4 points 4 months ago (1 child) zwiebulu permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Zwiebel@feddit.org 4 points 4 months ago permalink fedilink source parent [+] pkjqpg1h@lemmy.zip 2 points 4 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent [–] RecursiveParadox@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago I had to very, very grudgingly but rightfully apologize to one of my traders for using an LLM to translate some Vietnamese financial accounts to English. I still worry the actual financial ratios are off, so I'll have my other guy do that, but yeah, ok I hate these things but they are good at translation. permalink fedilink source parent [–] kspatlas@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 point 4 months ago I find they're also decent at helping you find a starting point for translating unfamiliar sentences in languages you know the basics of permalink fedilink source parent
