Gotcha. I binged it in 3 days. I've also read maybe 4 series in two weeks... I really enjoy FUNA's writing style. The MC makes some dumb choices but thats just her quirk and it leads to fun outcomes. She's also stubborn with her physical appearance. I understand her stance in not permanently changing her physical appearance. She really should temporarily change her height or age when she disguises herself to aid in hiding. Just needs a dress that goes down to her ankles that still fits to her knees when she gains height. I really enjoy when the MC rampages. Piss her off and you're in for a world of hurt. Not many novels show the wrath of a woman. Be nice and you'll be gifted many times over. Be evil she ruins the lives of the corrupt nobels/merchants. permalink fedilink source parent [–] I2jgwh0hYtxrCZQ@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 6 months ago (1 child) How do you remember the authors? I can only remember FUNA. I can’t even remember AOAB or Death Marchs authors. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] NineSwords@ani.social 3 points 6 months ago (1 child) I only remember the authors of recurring series that I liked enough to keep reading. I only recognize authors of series with 2-3 volumes if they have another long-running series from which I know the name. Or if the name stands out somehow. For example, I'm currently reading Min-Maxing My TRPG Build and I know the author's name not only because it's a long-running series that I like but also because he uses a German word as his handle. Stuff like that. On the flip side, I have problems remembering the names of authors that have a generic Japanese-sounding name. That's how I almost walked into the trap of reading Dimension Wave even though it's from the Shield Hero writer. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Mercuri@ani.social 3 points 6 months ago Yeah, that's pretty much my thing too. And if they have a really short pen name, it really sticks. That's how I remember people like Llo (Reincarnated as a Sword artist) and FUNA... names so short they're easy to remember and skill that sticks out. The two is basically brain glue that makes it stick. Although I keep trying to call FUNA "YUNA" for some reason. /shrug permalink fedilink source parent
