How do you feel about Flatpak? Do you like having universal packages separated from the operating system, or do you regret how much space they take? (piefed.zip)

I was reading a bit about it recently, seems like there two positions are valid, curious to see what people here think.

I prefer native packages, but if the option is between Flatpak and no package at all, then I'd rather have the Flatpak. It's also nice that developers can package their application once and be done with it.
