I'm confused why people are voting down an article about AI in an AI community, discussing small language models, which are much better in terms of energy consumption and the environment.

Possibly because it's very NVIDIA focused?

I'm excited about the prospect of small models e.g. fine-tuning against MCP calls to give APIs language interfaces.

There's a lot of frustrated zealots on lemmy. They prefer faulty ideology over pragmatism. Slowly getting angrier as their world view and reality diverge.
