    The meme seems to miss the concept of Theocracy entirely.

    It's not the religion forcing compliance, it's the agents within the state.

    It’s pointing out the overreach of religion that can lead to theocracy. It’s their religion, rules, punishment, etc. that they force on others.

    The haven’t gotten around to “dissidents” yet. Right now we’re at the bogeyman stage. Attack the “outsiders”. If he goes full Lenin or Stalin and does a real purge, then yeah…they’ll come for the opposition leadership first, then the public critics, and turn the MAGA rats loose on their neighbors.
