Start with not insulting them. People make decisions with emotions and explain them with logic. If you piss somebody off they won't listen to you.

    That is good advice for reasonable people.

    Maga shits are not reasonable, they actively oppose anything positive or based on science and logic. They see people being nice as a weakness. Have you been paying attention at all to what was said by the lady this post is about?

    I get where you are coming from but I also see where Spankmonkey is coming from. At the end of the day it’s hard to be nice to people who have spent the last decade calling us libtards and, as the child of a lesbian couple I can personally attest, many times calling or doing much worse things.

    Personally I don’t think these people are willing to be deconverted or even want to convert you. We are past that.

    This is my problem. I've read a lot of books around deprograming and I agree you're not supposed to insult them. But the main factor is they have to be curious. Magas that i know aren't at all curious. They don't care.

    It's like before you can work on the problem you have to admit there's a problem.

    If they never admit it, what then? I struggle with this myself. Opting to go with "well fuck em" mentality, but hey, I'm human too.

    from what i've seen the only thing that works on these people is active threats, physical or societal.
    Make it obvious that actual nazis get drowned in piss, that nazi enablers don't get to be a part of society, and that the only way to be treated normally is to stop being a piece of shit.
