At least Steam has repeatedly said that they have "measures" in place to make sure their customers can still access the game they bought if Steam had to shut down. They didn't go into details though, so finger crossed.

Also Valve supports Linux gaming and creates quite non-standard products like the Steam Controller, Link, Deck (which is awesome!), HTC Vive, ..

I was so disappointed with my PS5 purchase. It's an alright expensive entertainment device, but the nonsense with the exclusive games is another. I bought it because it had a disk drive, now it seems they aren't really planning on releasing many disk games. Between that and the Bethesda shit I feel like I got played. And Xbox is no better, the only thing available was their shitty series S for like forever, plus my Xbone had its own set of hardware issues for not being that old or overused.
