[–] Floodedwomb@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago (3 children) Is this real? I can't find it anywhere else. permalink fedilink source hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] AlDente@sh.itjust.works 38 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 child) The WSJ first broke the story on Thursday. However, it didn't include an image of the card, only the text and a description. From all the sources I've seen, the original image has not been released. It is possible that someone only leaked a written report to the WSJ and they dont even have a photo of it. I suspect all these photos are fake, but since Trump will likely sue for defamation, I don't believe this story would have been published without a high certainty of the text's authenticity. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] damdy@lemmings.world -16 points 1 year ago (1 child) It's a birthday card, it's been tossed decades ago. This is a mockup from a first hand memory of the card. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] AlDente@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 year ago That's not what is being reported. Maxwell collected letters from Trump and dozens of Epstein’s other associates for a 2003 birthday album, according to documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. The letter bearing Trump’s name, which was reviewed by the Journal, is bawdy—like others in the album. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 29 points 1 year ago (1 child) In matches the description of what I think it was the New York Post put out. I don't think they released an image of it, at least not when I first saw it. This could be someone's recreation based off the description possibly. Idk. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] errer@lemmy.world 20 points 1 year ago (3 children) There’s another version of the image floating around, it’s slightly different. At least one of them must be fake. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] tribut@infosec.pub 31 points 1 year ago (1 child) According to the WSJ, it is signed only "Donald" and the signature implies pubic hair. The OPs version matches that, yours does not. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] errer@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago Good point, but the other one could also be fake too. permalink fedilink source parent [–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 year ago lol this looks like a Dr Seuss character. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 1 point 1 year ago I don't think the article said it's left aligned. I don't know why they both went for that. I would do center aligned, and then you get two curves, which could fit the shape of a woman. Maybe Trump isn't creative enough to figure that out, but that's I would would expect it to be. permalink fedilink source parent [–] shalafi@lemmy.world 1 point 1 year ago Fake. When the real pic hits, hand onto your butt, memes forever. I can't wait! permalink fedilink source parent
