Because the poll they are linking is coming from twitter, and we know what that means. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 8 child comments replies: [–] nullPointer@programming.dev 25 points 1 year ago Trump voter responding to poll: "yea i voted for harris, and i approve of this approach" permalink fedilink source parent [–] Warl0k3@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago Yeah, I'm just gonna leave this criticism from twitter of the source linked in the OP article, since apparently now twitter posts are credible sources in of themselves...? The Comment In Question permalink fedilink source parent [–] supernight52@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago Trump card: There was even greater Democratic (and independent) support for Trump’s approach to immigration, suggesting opposition attacks on his controversial deportations are not widely resonating. In total, 49 percent of voters approved of the administration’s handling of immigration, vs. 33 percent who disapproved. Strikingly, a quarter of all Kamala Harris 2024 voters approved of the president’s immigration policy. That’s quite a number. (Another caveat: This poll was in the field for almost three weeks, but ended just before the anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles that provoked Trump to send in the National Guard. It’s untested how those events affected voters’ views.) Per Politico: https://www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook/2025/06/19/inside-trumps-thinking-on-iran-00414192 I don't trust those numbers, personally. I'm sure there are other sources out there that can find an almost opposite conclusion. permalink fedilink source parent [–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 0 points 1 year ago Voters permalink fedilink source parent
