I don't understand what your angle is? This is a genuinely useful list. For example: there seem to be types of revolution. Type 1: (the one I mentioned) where leadership goes "well we tried slaughter, they still coming, we should give up" Type 2: "we will not slaughter people, we'd rather give up" (eg the Mongolian revolution) Type 3: "they have the combined forces of police and military behind them, we better give up" (the lybian coup that brought Gaddafi to power, for example.) permalink fedilink source parent
