I was talking about the divorce as a whole. It would have some very serious ramifications. Moving wouldn't be easy, because you'd be doing so under a whole different set of circumstances than moving abroad for studying or for a job. It's not just you, it's everyone who wants to live a "liberal democracy" who would want to move and it wouldn't be easy at all, imo.

Historically mass exodus aren't fun.

Moving from one state to another in the US costs about $10-20k if you hire a service. If you pack and move everything yourself and rent a truck you can take that down to around $6-7k, but the physical labor involved is strenuous. For people who don't have a lot of money or who are old or not physically strong, I think it's reasonable to describe it as difficult.
