Moderators interested in migrating to a new community on another instance might want to consider selecting an instance and doing so sooner rather than later so that users here have time to see a migration post here and subscribe to the new community.

    Yea i don't disagree

    there are a number of reposts already at .world, but i'm not opposed to abandoning.

    I spent a little time today looking for a way to 'migrate' all the posts non-manually, but this is the closest tool i found and it doesn't include comments. https://gitlab.com/guardianoffreespeech/lemmy_meme_theif/-/tree/master

    Also, it apparently uses V3 API and doesn't work out of the box for V4, aaannnndddd it apears to be written in rust annnnnnnndddd the latest coding work i've done was in like 1998 and was mostly Perl with some ansi C

    @DosDude@retrolemmy.com <--- i did just submit to register on retrolemmy.com and i think that would be a good fit BUT -- idk what the capicity is, and ofc we kinda don't want to need to move again anytime soon. What do you think?
