Such a great and versatile handheld. permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] MrGerrit@feddit.nl 11 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) True that. I just bought it recently and love it very much. Finally a handheld that gives me access to most of my gaming libraries while on the go. Also nice to see Linux getting a boost from this. permalink fedilink source parent [–] XbSuper@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) Do you know if it can connect to a keyboard and mouse for certain games? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) Yeah, 100%. It only has one USB-C port, so you can only use one plugged in without a dock, but it has bluetooth, so you can use a keyboard and mouse that way, too. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] XbSuper@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) So a wireless Bluetooth keyboard+mouse setup would be the way to go for playing with the dock? This wouldn't be a huge part of my gaming, but there are certain games I'd probably prefer it for, so I just wanted to know it's possible. Any suggestions on a good controller for when it's on the dock? I'm convinced I'll be buying one with this sale. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago* (1 child) 8bitdo makes some of the best controllers out there, or you can go with an Xbox controller, though they are much more expensive. As far as mouse and keyboard, yeah, if you need to play with them, that will be totally possible and comparable to a desktop set up. However, the track pads on the steamdeck may be more convenient for you. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] XbSuper@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) Would a ps5 controller work? Only asking cuz I already have a ps5. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] chemical_cutthroat@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) Yeah, should work fine. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] XbSuper@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago Wonderful news!
