[–] natebluehooves@pawb.social 8 points 2 years ago (2 children) Dualsense + usb c video out to a tv or monitor. You now have a console. Seems pretty cool to have around honestly. Just need sideloading for emulators and i am happy. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] chris@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago Exactly. Before USB-C this wouldn’t have been worth it for developers, but with TV/Monitor output I can totally see this being useful for some gamers who either can’t afford or don’t have the space for a gaming PC or console. Then there’s the fact that it becomes a way more portable experience than even a Steam Deck. If you travel a lot it opens up a lot of possibilities without having to add another device to your bag. permalink fedilink source parent [–] TORFdot0@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago Being able to sideload emulators would be amazing, especially if you could unlock jit without needing a remote debugger For now I use a browser based emulator, afterplay, which is flawless for SNES/GBA and it includes DS but performance could be better for that. permalink fedilink source parent
