My current car is 20 years old, bought it when it was 10 years old and it's still going. Put away $20 a week or whatever you would have been paying on the loan and you'll always have a fund to get something. It’s just not worth the financial struggle if you’re the kind who would be impacted by a new car. It also means it’s much easier to afford to replace the vehicle if it’s becoming a money pit, and you don’t sweat a small scratch. And good for the environment! permalink fedilink source parent
