As the all degrees the same? I'm one of these morons with no degree over here, so obviously I can't understand how one degree is maybe different than another. Some of the stupidest people I've known have degrees. I know some incredibly intelligent people, but they put all their points in math and they're tough to have conversations with. So what is educated, and honestly, what importance does it have? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] milicent_bystandr@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago I know a couple, both intelligent, good people, where the wife has a university degree and the husband doesn't. The husband's opinion is a university degree teaches you how to think around problems. Certainly some people are great problem solvers even without university; and some are rubbish even with. But any good degree should help you learn and improve that, besides the specialist knowledge you gain. So it's useful, but very much not the be all and end all of human value! permalink fedilink source parent
