Someone shared this with me earlier today, and it's such a perfect example of the type of victim blaming crap marginalized groups have to hear all the time from this type of privileged "former" conservative

One of the things I've seen is normalization of their "enemies". Seeing trans people, muslims, jews, foreigners, feminists being just normal people.

In the right wing bubble all feminists are "crazy" so when they meet people that just are, then that can crack the worldview.

Unfortunately to a lot of right wing people ive talked to im just "one of the good ones", which obviously is meaningless when theyre trying to erase our existence.

Some folks are swayed by just being around a real queer person with feelings and emotions though, instead of just being a statistic to bash on the tv screen

This is also true, and I've seen it happen. The important thing to remember unlike Steve Bootlicker up there is the burden is not ever on us to change them, and it is never our fault they are conservatives, no matter what we do.

Curious how he’s gotten termed Steve bootlicker. I haven’t seen content in a bit and used to watch some TikTok’s relating to education and politics in Alberta for sure.

  • I don't know who he is. I'm just calling him that based on this particular post. For all I know, he might be a fine person who just had a bad take. I just loathe the gaslighting about "mean leftists made me conservative"

I know some anarchists from Alberta, but they've never mentioned him.
