He may have done that, but he didn't do it alone. Not to mention, it would take very few congressional republicans to put a stop to this, and they've done nothing. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] vegeta@lemmy.world 33 points 1 year ago (1 child) permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] ptz@dubvee.org 9 points 1 year ago Perfection. 👌 permalink fedilink source parent [–] silence7@slrpnk.net [S] 9 points 1 year ago (1 child) What do you mean nothing? But with Murkowski on record saying ‘We are all afraid’, I have to believe that there are others on that side of the aisle who would, given a brief moment of having a spine, stand up and do the right thing. I'd also hope those few would be enough, in both chambers, to form a veto-proof majority with the democrats. Wishful thinking, I'll concede. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] silence7@slrpnk.net [S] 6 points 1 year ago I think the ones who might have a spine were purged from the Republican Party over the last few years. There might be a couple in the Senate and a few more in the house, but nowhere near enough permalink fedilink source parent
