In fact, In Pennsylvania, they have to kill Spotted Lantern flies(from asian flights) because the spotted lantern flies would eat all the plants that native animals depend on. This is why food is inspected on flights(the risk of foreign diseases/parasites). The native species on their land did not adapt to foreign predators.
