When you start seeing American companies producing ads like this, you know we've made headway and they're taking it seriously. This is damage control. Keep it up and don't fall for this crap. (lemmy.world)

To be fair, the people who need to see it most don’t generally use ad blockers. They aren’t tech savvy or even outright enjoy ads.

    I’m not tech savvy but I use an ad blocker. I think most people either don’t know they exist or don’t care.

    That makes you more tech savvy than a large portion of average users. Just knowing they exist, and how to implement one means you're at least savvy enough to:

    1. Be aware of the option at all
    2. Be aware that not all browsers allow it
    3. Know either how to navigate your browser settings to install one, or how to word a search query to figure it out

    I think most people either don’t know they exist or don’t care.
