Getting a REAL ID is not that easy - I got turned away when I tried (despite having a passport? it was confusing?) so I had to go with a non compliant one.

Fewer than half of Oklahomans with a state-issued card have a REAL ID, which means that they will be blocked from commercial flights and secured federal buildings where an ID is required for entry.

(Of course, as a trans person, I’m mega fucked when it’s time to renew. Hopefully things are sane again by 2028/I don’t lose my DL in between now and then.)
