I guess my question is more, what is Trump saying that is the same as Tankies? Trump isn't anti Capitalist.

    Putin is definitely a dictator who started the war, and invaded Ukraine.

    But doesn't every country have the right to defend itself? (Not that Russia is 'defending itself' in this case)

    I don't know why you're asking a question that you answered. Yes they do, but that's not what Russia is doing. That's their excuse and it makes no sense. Ukraine has a right to defend itself. Russia is invading.
