Just keep in mind lemmy is hosted independently per instance and there are psychotic admins and mods here too.

My distaste for reddit is also increasing. Good I found lemmy. Still not sure how it works.

I had a 13 year old account on Reddit, they can get fucked. The place is turning to crap, and now that boost has stopped working, I'm not using their shitty Reddit app.

i did the same thing, i was skulking around the modhelp sub, they are totally complicit with the admins current banning directives. the mods are okay if people are randomly getting banned or comment removed, regardless if they had a ban in the past that was lifted. they just assume all is ban evaders. they are quite lazy people too.

also filters not resetting after peoples ban is lifted, is on reddit. i do give credit some mods did go out of thier way to help out a user that got banned, but the mods approved thier comments, but reddit was still banning them. thier AI banning is too faulty.

I just downloaded it after logging in and seeing that dystopian BS! I’m out lol
