Legal status. Which I am sure they're talking about revoking because she's been "charged with a crime."

That is the plan. Even for people who are in the US legally, just charge them with a crime, and that legal status can be pulled and they can be deported. Maybe even to Gitmo in the near future.

ICE is Gestapo.

    Could be a lot of things. Could be a tourist visa, student visa, H1B, green card, probably a mess of other things I'm not aware of. Some kind of "You're not a citizen, but it's legal for you to be in the United States" paperwork.

    I'd expect that the 18 year old is probably attached to her parents' status.
