I heard that the little square below the right analog stick is actually a trackpad.

    That's a track point not pad. It's so minimal that I legit had a hard time seeing it in most of the pictures I've seen. May as well be one of those old school mouse nubbins you used to see on laptops.

    They treat it as a way to move a mouse cursor for launchers or in desktop mode. They don't take it seriously as an input device for gaming.

    And that's why it's shit. Because it's not actually designed for use, it was an afterthought because the Steam Deck has them, and so they tossed it on so they don't look like they're not trying.
