The first episode seemed to have subs with legitimate translations. The rest of the season the subtitle author had fun and changed them to make fun of the ads. It was pretty funny. There were no quizzes though... permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 years ago I would love to watch that. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Mitsu@pawb.social 1 point 2 years ago There’s oodles of torrents on one of my private trackers labeled WOC—With original commercials. I LOVE THEM, such a fascinating look into my childhood. I refuse to watch any commercials made since 2006. permalink fedilink source parent [–] JustJack23@slrpnk.net 1 point 2 years ago I was wondering how I should prepare for the tests permalink fedilink source parent [–] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 16 points 2 years ago (4 children) Piracy is a hassle, the convenience of streaming made the cost worthwhile. They've forgotten this. Once the cost outweighs the convenience, the hassle won't seem like such a hassle anymore. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 8 child comments replies: [–] pip@slrpnk.net 3 points 2 years ago As a person who uses stremio; not only is it not more of a hassle than streaming services, it's WAY less. Astronomically so. You set it up once and you have literally everything permalink fedilink source parent [–] _cryptagion@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 years ago It’s not a hassle at all. I use my phone to tell my computer what I’m interested in watching. It automatically downloads that, and when I’m ready to watch something it streams to my TV. After I’m done with it, my computer removes it. permalink fedilink source parent [–] ikidd@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago (2 children) Kodi, Seren add-on and a debrid provider like Premiumize gets me better service than any streaming provider. Multiple source streams on any show in the last couple decades and every movie way earlier than is available from any source I've ever seen. If its not available as a cached stream, I can queue a torrent file at their end and stack them up until I'm ready to watch it, but I've rarely had to do that. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Eeyore_Syndrome@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 years ago (1 child) sadface today permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] ikidd@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) That just saved me a lengthy troubleshoot with the wife while I'm on the road, she was texting me to say Kodi wasn't giving her sources when your message showed up on my Lemmy client. Finding a stream/torrent that: Wasn't potato quality Had seeders Wasn't shut down since last time Wouldn't give you a virus Was actually the thing you were looking for (I did not have sexual relations with that woman) was a much more time consuming process. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] ikidd@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago The only streamer I've ever paid for was Netflix but I only got a few years out of that before it became easier to pirate again. Frankly, the Arr suite is a pain in the ass compared to the above method. permalink fedilink source parent [–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 years ago (1 child) Only upfront effort. Downloading is almost as much of a hassle as choosing what to play tonight. Once it's on the disk it's fair game. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) Back in my day, it was a much more involved process.
