I was against smoking until I arrived in the psychward. If you're suicidal your health isn't that important to you.

    As many as 80% of people with schizophrenia smoke. If you go to a psych ward everyone is a smoker.

    And how does that change anything? These people with actual mental illnesses do it so it must be good? I don't follow your line of reasoning.
