I posted this here because the shower thought was "if I google something that uses reddit as a source, doesn't that lose traffic for reddit?" But then I thought deeper and was wondering if it would send a bit to reddit and find out, or if it already had and it's giving me a review of something the AI already had and was just giving me a link to the source?

Maybe I should've posted in ELI5. I dunno, if this doesn't belong here just let me know or delete it.

AI has made the experience of language learners way shittier because now people will just call them AI on the internet.

Also, imagine trying to learn a language and not being able to tell whether it's your own lack of knowledge or if what you're reading is actually AI slop and doesn't make sense.

edit: I know they are just as bad as the rest of them, but by having CEO's that have managed to stay out of the headlines lately, they're being discrete about eroding our civil liberties and degrading civil discourse
