Tipp: Wenn Ihr bei Android ungern auf YouTube-Links klickt, könnt Ihr sie statt mit dem Browser immer automatisch mit @newpipe starten lassen:

Einstellungen -> Apps -> NewPipe -> Festlegen als Standard -> Unterstützte Webadressen.

Alles mit youtube auswählen.

Beim Klick auf einen YT-Link kommt eine Abfrage. Häkchen bei "Links in Apps immer öffnen" machen und öffnen.

NewPipe selbst fragt dann noch, wie geöffnet werden soll. Hier "Video-Player" auswählen und mit "Immer" bestätigen.

Fertig. 😍

What's the step-by-step to open this with NewPipe?

I've tried to paste and search the (2nd) link with newpipe, both in the a peertube instance context mode and also in YouTube context mode. Didn't 't work, as I half expected.

Can anyone chance an ELI5 of this? Thx

In the last week or so, anything I choose to watch is limited to 360p, which is odd, given that I've been able to watch everything prior at 1080p or have the choice from the drop down whilst a video is playing... Have checked if the videos I've tried to watch are available in higher resolutions , and they are....wondering if the latest update has broken something...or am I missing something 🤷🏻‍♂️ Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. 👍🏼

The 'related videos' video-tab stopped showing the publication date in the listed videos. With the 5.1.0 update, from yesterday. I miss that info for the videos related with current/daily events.

Anybody knows if that is an intentional change? It makes my experience not as great. [And it has been great. Thanks]

PS. As for NewPipe. Sadly, it has been a few versions that I cannot run on my Xiaomi redmi 11s. Keeps crashing. Even after a clean reinstall. No idea what's with that

Update: The "subscribed list" on PipePipe seems to be working with a new update now.

Pour l'instant mon coeur balance pour le deuxième.

Trop de galères pour importer mes abonnements sur Newpipe c'est 100 par 100 (j'ai 500+ abonnements YT ne jugez pas j'ai plusieurs chaînes séparées pour ne pas mélanger les genres) alors que sur Libretube, un click et c'était réglé.
Même visuellement je trouve ça mieux.

I'm new to newpipe and I'm going to ask a question that about 80% of y'all are going to freak out over, but I can't find the answer anywhere else.

I want to watch YouTube Shorts without ads but with the same sort of interface as Shorts. I've subscribed to my favorite creators in newpipe, but I can't find a section where I can flip through Shorts as a single feed. I currently have to click into each creator to see their Shorts tabs. Does newpipe have a Shorts feed setting that I'm missing?

And before you bother commenting: Yes I'm a degenerate. Yes long-form is 'better'. You're all right. I don't care that my brain is rotted. Let me wallow in my filth. Preferably without ads.

So, mal das Pixel 8 refurbished, aber in sehr gutem Zustand bestellt. Nach Ankunft wird #GrapheneOS installiert, mit @ente und @newpipe bespielt. Dann schauen wir mal in Ruhe weiter, was man wirklich auf dem Smartphone benötigt. Mit @davx5app werde ich wohl Notizen, Kalender und Kontakte zu @mailbox_org synchronieren. Dann fällt mir noch #fairemail ein... Was fehlt noch? Ein Navi, wird wohl #MagicEarth werden, da TTS bereits enthalten ist.

Habe ich was vergessen? Grübel grübel ...

Welcher Mastodon Client ist zu empfehlen? Einer, der auch übersetzt.

Und kann ich Userscripts nutzen? Hatte mir ein paar geschrieben.

Gerne pushen. Je mehr Auswahl ich habe, desto besser.

Une fonctionnalité que j'adore dans @feedflowapp (agrégateur RSS, sur Android) et dans Fedilab @apps (app pour #Mastodon, Android),
c'est la capacité de masquer un compte dans le flux par défaut, afin de ne le voir *que* dans une liste dédiée.

C'est notamment utile pour ceux qui postent beaucoup et/ou de courts contenus.

Je rêve d'avoir la même chose dans @newpipe (lecteur Youtube, sur Android) et dans @AntennaPod (agrégateur de podcast).
