The Pistons will soon renounce James Wiseman making him an unrestricted free agent.

Instead of giving Wiseman a 1-year qualifying offer, Detroit prefers to clear more cap space.

The former No. 2 overall pick will be an intriguing buy-low option on the veteran’s minimum market.

“If Paul George is willing to leave, they would like to be an option for him.”

Golden State is big fish hunting to pair another star alongside Stephen Curry.

Since this would have to be a trade that involves young assets for LA to even think about it, despite the fact that Lacob is known to be someone that does not want to trade Kuminga. Would be a hard fit despite the speculation.

Original Title: [Windhorst] If the Rockets take Donovan Clingan... another center... that would potentially enable them to make Alperen Sengun...available in a type of trade today going in front of the Suns, the Rockets are full go to improve dramatically now…and that’s why they did this trade now

Brian Windhorst said this on Get Up today about how the possibility of Donovan Clingan from UConn at number 3 would actually open up trading Alperen Sengun to the Suns.

With 3 suns picks and an interesting young player like Sengun, is that enough for KD? Or too much?

I'm seeing a lot of "Knicks mortgaged their future" and "they gave up the farm" takes but the knicks have been well ran ever since Leon Rose took over - meaning they had a surplus of picks. For instance - the knicks have 2 tradable first round picks going forward - the same as the mavs - and it took them trading 5 in one trade to catch up to the mavs.

Mikal Bridges is on a value contract and slots in perfectly to their lineup. It's hard to imagine someone else they'd rather have in that spot given how talented the roster already is/Mikal fitting the timeline- and they have flexibility going forward.

Original Title: [Scotto] ... the Brooklyn Nets have chosen to pivot towards a rebuild, and other veterans, including Cam Johnson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Bojan Bogdanovic, Dennis Schroder, Ben Simmons, and backup center Day’Ron Sharpe, are all potential trade candidates to monitor, league sources told HoopsHype.

The Pelicans have several admirers of Claxton in their front office and are among the teams around the league wondering if the 25-year-old center could become available via a sign-and-trade, given Brooklyn’s rebuilding direction.

Claxton is expected to command $20-25 million annually in free agency.

If the Suns are ever faced with breaking up team, Houston's also in prime position to pursue a younger Devin Booker. For now, Phoenix is trying to win.
